Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 July 2026
These terms govern enrolment in tuition services provided by Tan Xiaohan, trading as learnfromCher.com ("we", "us"). By enrolling a student, the parent/guardian agrees to these terms.
1. Services
We provide online group tuition (delivered live via video conferencing), holiday intensive courses ("bootcamps"), and, by arrangement, private 1-to-1 sessions. Programme details, schedules, and current fees are stated on our website or at registration.
2. Enrolment and payment
- Monthly group tuition fees are payable upfront at the start of each month.
- Bootcamp fees are payable at registration; a deposit (amount shown at registration) forms part of the fee and is non-refundable except where we cancel the course.
- Late payment: portal and lesson access may be paused where fees remain unpaid after reminder.
3. Class minimums
Monthly group classes run with a minimum of 3 students; bootcamps run with a minimum of 5. If a class or course does not meet its minimum, we will offer a full refund or a credit toward another programme.
4. Recordings
- Weekly lessons: recordings are available to enrolled students for 7 days after each lesson.
- Bootcamps: recordings are available for 14 days after each session.
- Missed sessions are covered by recordings; we do not run separate make-up lessons.
- 1-to-1 sessions are recorded only on request.
- Recordings and access codes are for the enrolled student's personal use only and may not be shared.
5. Materials and intellectual property
All lesson notes, worksheets, recordings, and portal materials are our copyright. Files are provided for the enrolled student's personal study, are individually watermarked, and may not be copied, shared, or redistributed.
6. Conduct
Students are expected to attend punctually with cameras available on request, and to behave respectfully. We may remove a student whose conduct disrupts the class, with fees for the remaining period refunded pro-rata.
7. Cancellations by us and emergencies
If we must cancel a session (e.g. tutor illness or technical failure), we will offer a replacement session, a recording, or a pro-rated credit.
8. Marketing consent
We only use a student's results, testimonials, or likeness in marketing with the parent/guardian's separate written consent.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with the services is limited to the fees paid for the month (or course) in which the claim arises. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Singapore law.
10. General
These terms are governed by Singapore law. Our Cancellation & Refund Policy forms part of these terms.
11. Changes to these terms and fees
- We may update these terms from time to time; the latest version is always on this page with its "Last updated" date.
- Material changes, including fee changes, will be emailed to enrolled families at least 30 days before taking effect.
- Continued enrolment after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
- Founding-member rate locks are honoured as stated at signup and are not affected by fee revisions.
